Sokoleho Inc. ("we", "us", "our") operates SokoCreators, a marketplace connecting nano creators with local businesses. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you apply to or use SokoCreators. By applying, you agree to the practices described here.
When you apply to SokoCreators, we collect your full name, WhatsApp number, email address (if provided), social media handle and platform, follower count, content links, location, and the details you share in your application (your pitch, content styles, languages, availability, and self-reported stats like average views and engagement rate). We also collect information generated through your use of the platform — gigs you claim, content you submit, messages you exchange with businesses and admin, and ratings you give or receive.
We use your information to review your application, match you with relevant collaboration briefs, display your public creator profile to businesses, compute your badges and rating, and send you WhatsApp messages about your application, approved gigs, and account. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Businesses see your public profile — name, handle, platform, follower count, niche, content links, ratings, and badges. Your WhatsApp number and email are never shared directly with a business. Collaboration requests and early communication go through Sokoleho; once a collaboration is active, you and the business can message each other through SokoCreators' in-app chat without exchanging personal contact details.
By applying, you agree to receive WhatsApp messages from Sokoleho related to your application status, approved gigs, and account — including automated message templates (for example, an approval notification with a link to set your password). You can ask us to stop non-essential messages at any time by contacting us.
We share information with the service providers that run the platform — WhatsApp/Meta's Cloud API for messaging, our hosting and database providers — under confidentiality obligations, and with businesses you actively collaborate with. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of Sokoleho, creators, or businesses.
We retain your data while your creator account is active. If your account is deactivated or you ask us to delete it, we may permanently erase your profile, application, collaboration history, messages, and ratings. This is irreversible — once deleted, we cannot recover it, and any business you collaborated with will also lose their record of that history.
